HACCP

HACCP is a management system in which food safety is addressed through the analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards from raw material production, procurement and handling, to manufacturing, distribution and consumption of the finished product.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) require mandatory HACCP programs for juice and meat as an effective approach to food safety and protecting public health.

BRC

BRC Global Standards is a leading safety and quality certification programme, used by over 23,000 certificated suppliers in 123 countries, with certification issued through a worldwide network of accredited certification bodies.

The Standards guarantee the standardisation of quality, safety and operational criteria and ensure that manufacturers fulfil their legal obligations and provide protection for the end consumer. BRC Global Standards are now often a fundamental requirement of leading retailers.

BAP

Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) is an international, third-party certification system that verifies environmentally and socially responsible processes under which finfish, crustaceans and mussels are produced.

BAP certification standards contain the key elements of responsible aquaculture, including environmental responsibility, social responsibility, food safety, animal health and welfare, and traceability.

Global G.A.P

G.A.P. stands for Good Agricultural Practice – and GLOBALG.A.P. is the worldwide standard that assures it.

We’re a not-for-profit organization with a crucial objective: safe, sustainable agricultural production worldwide. We set voluntary standards for the certification of agricultural products around the globe - and more and more producers, suppliers and buyers are harmonizing their certification standards to match.

ASC

The ASC certification process reflects the organisation's values of openness, inclusiveness and transparency.

ASC aims to be the world's leading certification and labelling programme for responsibly farmed seafood. The ASC's primary role is to manage the global standards for responsible aquaculture, which were developed by the WWF Aquaculture Dialogues.

IFS

The IFS comprise eight different food and non-food standards, covering the processes along the supply chain.

However, IFS does not specify what these processes must look like but merely provides a risk-based assessment of them. The different standards are now used by manufacturers and retailers worldwide to meet new requirements for quality, transparency and efficiency resulting from globalisation.
